PUSH Computing: PUSH v. Poll & PUSH Broadcasting
PUSH Computing is poll-less data communications with infinitely scalable real-time data management. Poll-less data communications replaces the traditional 'Poll-based' data management model with a 'PUSH-based' data management model.
PUSH v. POLL:
- Today’s IT systems require you to continually ‘ask’ (poll) for information in order to receive it because the system does not have a memory that you have previously asked for information.
- For example, on the web this is called 'refresh', and we have all become accustomed to 'refreshing' our web browsers to check for new information.
- In a poll-less system, you only need to ask for something once. PUSH computing will remember that request and will provide that information whenever it occurs.
The result? Computation- and resource-efficiency.
What is PUSH?
- PUSH is a unique feature set that uCirrus offers through its PUSHvm data stream processor. It enables enterprises to PUSH or BROADCAST the information in their data channel(s) to one or many audiences, devices, or systems.
PUSHvm enables poll-less communications broadcasting.
